Apogee Consultants began in the San Francisco Bay Area during the heady days of the internet boom in the late '90s. Apogee focused initially on providing guidance and support to startup companies that were strong on ideas but short on administrative infrastructure, particularly in the finance and accounting departments.
Some clients realized the need for more formal business planning to drive growth and attract capital; consequently we developed our strategic planning process (SAP), blending the main disciplines of marketing, finance and operations in a coherent and achievable strategy for sustainable growth.Read more: About Apogee
About Pete Nixon
My professional career began in 1979 as an auditor for Touche Ross & Co in San Francisco and I later became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California. I went on to hold a number of Controller and CFO positions with companies in a variety of industries from insurance to high tech to biotech. I was involved in several startup companies, some successful and some not.
I have over 15 years as a consultant. Initially I specialized in trouble-shooting and implementing software-based accounting systems and became an expert at turning around dysfunctional finance departments. For years, I provided outsourced Controller and CFO services for companies in transition or that just needed some extra horsepower to complete a project. I was especially active doing this in Silicon Valley during the late 1990's and I still provide those services on occasion.Read more: About Pete
